Early morning mist rises along the river as work begins at RiverLift Industries in West Elizabeth. President and Co-Owner Bob Schaefer guided through the busy day of commodities and materials handling, providing a ride on the tug boat to shift loaded barges along the dock. Mark Schaefer, President and Co-Owner of RiverLift, provided insight into the complexities of transporting materials as well as the diversity of training and positions. Our thanks to the entire workforce of RiverLift and to Bob and Mark for providing the opportunity to share their enthusiasm for the working river community and the opportunities for employment on our waterways.
